I’m Dmitri Dmitriev, a developer in Ramat Gan, Israel. I build internal tools and workflow automation — mostly around the point where someone’s work gets slower than it needs to be.
Four years of that at Kido, a design studio in Herzliya. I joined as a UI/UX designer and moved into development after an early automation project worked, then spent the rest of it on Figma plugins, design-system tooling, and internal tools the studio used daily.
Lately I’ve been building the same kind of thing on my own — a scouting system a publishing editor uses to find books, and tooling that coding agents operate directly rather than just help me write. The tools I like are the ones that should disappear once they work.
I came to software from print production, and that’s where the interest started: prepress, quality control, and a lot of coordination that ran on phone calls and files carried around on flash drives. Different industry, same problem.
This site is where I write about the work while it’s still in progress. I also shoot photos. If you have a workflow that’s quietly costing people hours, get in touch.
